We watered both gardens tonight. The pumpkin I pollinated early in the week looks small, soft, and has flies on it. It appears three females opened Friday morning with another three or very close, and another five or so just a day or two behind. Way more females than I had the last two years. Still not one male has matured and opened. I don’t know if this plant is technically a male sterile but it certainly appears the ethylene is very high. I planted six more wee b little seeds indoors-90 days to maturity so if all goes well we should have some before Halloween.
