Spent all day working on the tomatoes pruning and weeding. Also marked each plant with a color ribbon. The color chosen was made by my evaluation of blossoms and sets. The best are the red ones..triple or better pointed in the right direction. The yellow ribbon..still too early to decide. Blues are a strong double or weak triple. Blues will be ignored the rest of the year..seed harvest. Twenty plants were pulled that didnt make the cut. Right now I have about 20 reds. That number may go up or down. Much more manageable than 120 plants. Started the first compost brew of the year. 40 gallons for the 20 plants. Time to try to grow some big ones.
