150 sq ft patch...so far going good. I am getting about 75 to 80 percent of the secondaries on one side to make the cross over the main. I left myself enough room to run one of the last secondaries
right down the edge of the boundary. Vine spacing on the grow side will be about 6 inches..good thing I am skinny. Burying the nodes on the crossed vines is difficult because they are about 3 feet shorter than normal grow side. As this grows I am doing a lot of planning which way to route the growth. I have a female that is short of target zone. Not even going to bother with it. Planned pollination is 3 feet into target zone and on the correct side of the vine. If this one sets I can loop the last secondary around the pumpkin for a vine length of about 10 feet. If everything goes as planned I will have 14 secondaries at an average of 10 feet long to feed the pumpkin. The vines closest to the set will be about 13 feet long. With an internodal length of 6 inches plus main will give me about 300+ root nodes. Should have started this plant 3 weeks earlier...
