As you can see I run my hand around the plant making a circle so when we water it is contained around the young plant. The late "great" John Castellucci taught me this 28 years ago as he grew the best tomato plants I had ever seen. You can also see the cattle fence over the plants, at night a 100 wt light bulb is placed inside about 14 inches from the plant. We then cover the cattle fence with a light blanket. This method keeps the plants around 60 degrees.
