No till fail? I think no-till might work better in places that freeze hard or dry out to an extreme. I think I’ve got blight spores and root disease from last year and there is just not a harsh natural cycle to break the disease here. Weather has been great so these look ok but I’m seeing signs of disease... It’s awful early for that!
I think I could do no-till... if I rotated crops. But if I don’t rotate... then I guess no-till just means more herbicides and pesticides and fungicides?! That just makes money for the farm-chemical industry... I wouldn’t be surprised if they LOVE no-till agriculture.
2 words: Rotation & solarization.
