I have had a few emails discussing why indoor weights do not equal outdoor weights. The only reason I can think of is the advantage of the sun. Light penetration is so much greater outdoors. As you can see, I am contemplating adding side lighting to increase saturation of the leaves. Next winter's competition might have to divide it into classes. If I start to push 1200 watts of lighting into one plant it is not fair to the growers that are growing under 200 watts or less of light per plant. I don't want to restrict myself. Next year I may be the only entry in the open class but hopefully someone will eventually join me.
