I am going to take a chance tonight. I think I can get the aeroponic system ready to go by the end of next weekend. I am going to start seeds tonight for it. Not really risking much..have alot of seeds from my .87 slammer. Trying something new. I used a hole saw to cut the 1 1/2 inch rockwool cubes to 3/4 inch cylinders. I then used an Xacto knife to slice off the bottom 1/4 inch. Should have about 1/2 the volume of rockwool to hold the seeds. I want no sponge, zero water holding capability would be my ideal for a seed holder. Soaking eight seeds overnight in reverse osmosis water and 8 plugs in PH conditioning solution. Tomorrow morning they will go into my germination chamber. The top four sprouts will go into the aeroponic bucket and a few weeks later the top of those four will be the one chosen to grow fruit. I only give about 25 % chance of being succesful this first try but will learn much.
