The fastest growing seedling to my surprise is the 719 Borgers(552 Minor x 356 Borgers), outgrowing two 2096's and a 1916 even though it was started later and came up with only one cot leaf.Is it getting the energy because of genetics (it has only 2 pumpkins in its family line over 1k, 1161 Rodonis and 1610 Lieber). Or is it from the effect of heterosis (it is the product of crossing multi-generation selfed lines. Or is the benefit from soaking the seed in rooting hormone. I am thinking that if it continues to grow faster than the rest it will be put in a better location than originally planned.
