This is one of the blossoms on the hydro 3.77 Borgers Wixom Slammer plant. Notice the purplish tint of the stems and veins of the leaves. This has me stumped. When I have had this issue in soil it has usually been because of overwatering. Since this is deep water hydro that can not be the solution. Another cause can be cold temps. I am running at 67 degrees reservoir temp,80 degrees day air temp and 72 degrees night air temp. I dont think I want to mess with that. Another cause could be low phosporous levels. I boosted the P level in the nutrient solution two days ago..no improvement seen on the purple. Unless someone emails me with a better suggestion I might try doubling the airstones in the system and see if I can raise the dissolved oxygen levels. I am thinking low oxygen might give the same symptoms of overwatering. I have started to look at DO meters. Looks like the manufacturers are really proud of them...$500 for a very accurate one. Not going to happen this round of growing.
