I started to thin my final winter plants today. I wasn't looking very carefully, just pulling the smallest. After pulling this one,I noticed something different, it looks like it has two roots from one seed. Quick back into another cup it went. Even under my magnifying glass it looks like one seed. Hope I didnt kill it by yanking it out of the ground. I want to see what it looks like after the seed coat comes off. Last summer Qtip's secret weapon was the double stem double root ...maybe this winter my secret weapon will be the double root single stem. I remember the simple math...2 x weight = big ;)
