Finally pulled my long carrots today. They werent very long, but all multi-headed. Looks like they would be more suited to growing heavy than long. They are the perfect size for storage in my little refrigerater to try for seeds for next year. One of the carrots came out with 2 foot by 6 inch diameter root ball soil intact. About 2 feet of hair roots was broken off. I had an empty 65 gallon pot available downstairs so transplant it was. I wonder how it will respond to having an extra 60 gallons of soil to grow in. A six inch diameter by 4 foot long holds a little less than 6 gallons. My first indoor carrot went to seed in 6 months. Wonder if this one can grow for 18 months.
