After soaking all night my first indoor challenge tomato seeds are in dirt. For the first two plants I choose seeds from my summer plants that were growing well but didn't reach their potential due to grower error or weather issues. I will refer to these as the 2.52 Domingo and the 3.71 Big Zac. My choice for starting media is now Happy Frog with the addition of Great White mycorrhizae. Winter growing gives me a chance to support my local grow store. I like using these clear plastic 32 oz cups. They are upside down with lids on and the bottoms cut off. With the clear plastic it is easy to monitor the roots to know when to transplant.
