A big surprise is the open pollination fruit on the 1797 Checkon plant, or the half plant that is left. It really took off so I measured it today. The past 3 days it has averaged 35.6 lbs a day ! With NO stump, and its on a skinny sidevine. Just incredible. Its around 352# on day 25. The remaining plant looks great. It will be interesting to see how big this pumpkin will get. I only figured around 550, but with the way its gaining, it very well get much bigger. I will post a pic of it on Monday for the weekly patch update.
