First the bad news for the week. In the previous post, i had a pic of the 1797 Checkon fruit that was starting to show a blossom split. It never split because the fruit came to a major slow down a day or two earlier. After reading a post by Don Black, i have to agree with him. He said that when a pumpkin changes shape quickly, as in growing only on one side, the fruit will usually stop growing. That is exactly what it did. The plant is too nice to not to grow something on. I pollinated two recently on sides.
