It's all a bit boring in the patch right now which compared to this time last year is rather nice. In the next couple of weeks when the soil samples are back we will dig the patch "Paton style". I know that the onions are short of Nitrogen so they got a calcium nitrate a couple of days ago while I'm waiting for the first soil sample to come back. Next week I will split these up to one per trolley. As this year is all about trying to control the plants bulbing phase and when it starts, four individual plants will give me more idea of what's going on.
