Yes I agree,if your looking for 100% perfect pumpkin you could really set the bar high & even weed out my line of seeds if you wanted to. Butt heres the Big BUTT, The goal here is to keep orange pumpkins growing over 2000 lbs.Thats my goal.I think the 2006 color ruling has drawn us away from that.The quest for the heaviest pumpkin in the world is fine.BUTT,One thing I noticed is people looking at my 1768 Clementz in 2014 & saying "Is that a squash??".If it doesn't look like a pumpkin? Whats the point? So I want to grow pumpkins that a total newbie looks at ans says "Wow!
