Another close up pic of the damaged Melon that was allowed. GPC Rules clearly state that all soft spots must be cleaned with a spoon and inspected to be further judged...it was never done. After being persuaded into bringing this issue up to the Site Director I got a chuckle on how afraid any of the other growers were to bring it up theirselves,lol. The site judge even announced in front of about 200 people or more that they new the melon was deeply damaged but after 4 of them had a talk it was allowed...amazing this can go on without basic GPC rules not followed but then again the site judge also announced in a nearly 10 minute speech that him and the grower had been friends for over 27 years,lol.
