We have had temps in the low 50's at night and colder right before sun up. Yesterday afternoon I pulled the covers off the 130 Carey UOW Bushel Gourd and to my surprise it had picked up steam. It now has an ott of 190 and est @ 193 lbs. This is a tuff plant in horrible weedy condition. Am going to try and clean up the plant and weeds today. Going to get help and drag the vines to the sides, mow and set the vines back down. Sad, I know. These vines are not as brittle as kin and melon vines, you can do this. my 783 UOW Kin is still growing with only stump & vines roots, no leaves, lol. It is solid with zero Netting so far, beautiful Orange. Will it hold on for Anamosa?
