Here is a 24" upper in soil section of a 68" tall Steak House Tomato plant I grew this last winter in stacked buckets and planters. The root system was alot bigger than you see as most of it was tore up when I removed all the potting soil. There were big heavy roots all the way down in the bottom section as you will see in some other pics. I did not do anything special other than introduce worms and coffee grounds to the system with weekly watering. Did some simple pruning on this plant and produced a 2.68 pound Tasty Mater. The #2 plant I grew produced a nice 2.25 pounder, nothin special but a good experiment over the winter.
