Another year of extremes. July and August were very hot and very dry....until Thursday when the skies opened up and the temperatures dropped like a rock. We've gone from cranking the air condtioning to turning on the furnace! All of the pumpkins and squash have been suffering from the heat. The only thing that has been doing well lately are my long gourds, until a few days ago when it turned cold. Hopefully the weather will bounce back to something more moderate. Still a long ways to go until Smoky.
