1st post of the year I think. My daughter and I are teaming up this year. Here's our Iowa state Fair record 1409 weighed back on August 8th. 1707.5 Caspers x self. It had a cold start and was only 25 lbs in dap 20

Still been super busy at work, pretty much burnt out on everything at the moment. Here's our Anamosa 2nd place, and Iowas #2 Athena 2,117.5 Caspers(2557.4 Vangeel x 2,670 Thompson. Mark Mourlas took some great photos of the loading: https://www.pumpkinphoto.com/In-the-patch-with-Pete-and-Alba-Caspers-2025-Peosta-IA

Couldn't have done this season without my daughter, those that don't think she did the work, let's compare free time and see if what we accomplish was doable

Came up 26.5 lbs short. 2 years ago I missed it by 11 lbs. Our GOTY total was 5,973.5 for the year. My 3rd time in the 5700 lb club in the past 4 years, and Alba's1st. This is our 1885 Caspers (2670 Thompson x 2557.4 Vangeel)

https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8DCpXrB/ We now own all of Iowa's top 10 pumpkins and brought the average up to 2000.45 for the top 10. Hard to believe at the end of 2021 my 1707.5 was #2 and Carlson/Peterson's 1800.5 was the state record. Now to raise the bar even higher next year!
